Darwin-based speech pathology services across the Northern Territory

About Us

Sound Connections is a speech pathology practice based in Darwin, providing services to children, adolescents, and adults across the Northern Territory. We work with individuals, families, schools, community organisations, and support teams, including those in regional and remote communities, to support communication needs in everyday contexts.

Our approach is practical and collaborative, with a focus on functional communication and meaningful participation in daily life. We aim to provide support that is responsive to the environments people live, learn, and work in, and that builds capacity over time.

Sound Connections has extensive experience supporting NDIS participants and delivering services across a wide range of settings and communities throughout the Northern Territory.

Our Vision

We believe that children learn best in familiar and natural environments. Consequently, our therapeutic and support services are centred around children participating in normal, everyday routines and activities and having meaningful experiences with family and carers.

Infinite opportunities for growth and development arise when support is offered in within a child and family’s natural context.  We recognise that the best natural environment differs for every child and family and adapt our support to suit individual needs and circumstances.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide practical, evidence-based speech pathology services that support communication and participation across the lifespan, with services delivered in ways that are responsive to context, environment, and community.
