Group Therapy

Group speech therapy sessions provide children with an opportunity to practice skills in a supported environment. This environment reflects their day-to-day social settings such as school or a friend’s house. The children in each group are of similar ages or developmental stages and are usually working towards similar goals, which can help children feel a sense of belonging and understanding.

Sound Connections offer group therapy for children aged 1-18. Our groups focus on:

  • Social and relationship skills
  • School readiness
  • Early literacy
  • Literacy skills
  • Speech sounds
  • Receptive and expressive language
  • Emotional expression and resilience
  • Play skills
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) – non-verbal communication
